Taking VIREAD

How to take VIREAD

Stay under a healthcare provider’s care when taking VIREAD^® (tenofovir disoproxil fumarate). Remember to take VIREAD every day, without missing a dose. VIREAD can be taken with or without a meal. Do not cut VIREAD pills in half. The usual dose of VIREAD is one 300-mg tablet once a day. If you have kidney problems, your doctor may recommend that you take VIREAD less often.
